On Tal Bachman

Disclaimer: The following is an ad hominem attack on Tal Bachman. If you are Mr. Bachman, or one of his small number of ever dwindling fans, I suggest that you not read this post. I will try to be objective, but be forewarned; I do not have a lot of good things to say about this pretentious, washed-up has-been.

I don’t like Tal Bachman. I’ve read a lot of his posts, and if they are any reflection of who he really is, he must really be one pathetic son of a bitch. Am writing this because he left Mormondom? No, I can’t really say that I’m sad to see him go. Some of the nicest, coolest, warm-hearted, generous individuals I know have left the Mormon church and I have yet to launch a single ad hominem attack on them. In fact, we continue to be good friends regardless of varying religious choices. Membership in an organization is no arbiter when it comes to friendship. With that in mind, let me turn my attention to Mr. Bachman. His singular claim to fame is that he wrote and sang a hit song, “She’s So High.” As a one-hit wonder, he’s in the same category as the illustrious Right Said Fred, Vanilla Ice and Lou Bega (of Mambo No. 5 fame). I’m surprised he hasn’t starred on the Surreal Life yet. Maybe he’s holding out for a spot on Dancing with the ‘Stars’. Marie Osmond made it, why not him?

He has written a voluminous amount of material regarding his thoughts on Mormonism. I’m not sure if he intends to sound like a pretentious, holier-than-thou, pseudo-intellectual, but everything he writes is pretentious, holier-than-thou or pseudo-intellectual. Take a blog post he published a few months ago in May. He criticizes the Mormon conception of heaven and hell, but he makes himself sound like a self-satisfied jerk in the following quote (which can be found here)

“I think heaven isn't a place we go to after we die; I think it is a place we can live in everyday, if we are determined to, and perhaps, if we have a bit of luck. I think it is something we create and find here on earth...and right now. Heaven can be right now...

“I feel sad sometimes when I think of how long I lived always thinking of heaven as another place, and another time. I was too often blind to all the beauty right before me, because I was too often straining so hard to see something far, far off in the distance - which, it turns out, there is no reason to believe is even there, at least in the way I thought.

“I submit that true heaven isn't crazy stories, or distant stars, or strange names and strange clothes and strange spouses. I think it is something that we all have, within us, the power to create and experience, at least to some extent, right here and right now...”

Yeah, whatever, buddy. And with three paragraphs, he assigns those who don’t share his easy rockstar lifestyle to a hell worse than any that God proposed. What happens to those sorry souls, who, for whatever reason, don’t have ‘a bit of luck’? What happens to them? Mr. Bachman would consign them to misery and woe because they are not determined enough, I guess. Or chastise them for hoping for some kind of better existence in the next life? And what is the basis for Mr. Bachman’s faith in humankind? He claims there is no reason to believe in heaven. I agree, at least as far as objective evidence is concerned. But what evidence does he have the mankind can make a heaven here on earth? His own Shangri-La lifestyle, where his biggest complaints are that nobody in the record industry wants to hear his music? He wants to argue both sides of the fence. He has to have a reason for the distant heaven, but offers no reasons for the heaven ‘within’.

Other posts focus on his inability to talk to females in the past because of his worry about temptation. Obviously this is the Mormon church’s fault. The most common complaint I hear about this church is that it stultifies relationships between members of the opposite sex who happen to be married to other people. It would be completely illogical to assume that Mr. Bachman stultifies himself. Maybe someone should tell him that just because he feels ‘tempted’, it is highly unlikely that the person he is talking to feels the same way. When I talk to women at work or at school, I usually don’t get the impression that they are chomping at the bit to go to bed with me, regardless of how naturally charming I am. It must be a rockstar complex to think like that. Maybe Mr. Bachman should evaluate how he internalized the teachings of the Mormon church, rather than make unwarranted generalizations about the impact those teachings have on the general membership.

I think most of my invection comes from the colossal waste of time it was to read what he had written and the colossal waste of time writing this post represents. I don’t usually like (or write) ad hominem attacks, but when someone practically begs for it, can I be anything but obliging?

Tal Bachman should just go away and leave Tracy and the kids to enjoy a better life without him. He has been a liar and fraud for years and just used his epic "Why I Left the Mormon Church" to deflect from his own bad behavior and lies. To hell with him, I say.

Not really, no. But it does say what and who you are. If you are so utterly confident in your accusations, why be anon? You seem to be in the know, have intimate knowledge of the private life of several individuals, so why hide and use fake names all the time? That is the true definition of fraudster.

You really should refrain from drinking in the day, nor should you mix anti-depressants with alcohol. It renders them competely ineffective and since alcohol is already a depressant, well, you can see the dilemna and the havok is reeks on a mindset. This is particularly true for women. You can see that at least can't you?

That's just a rumor someone started to try to keep people from drinking. So if that's true for you ,you are doing it wrong :)

There are bests.
Sometimes favorites.
But there can only ever
be one single rose.
The heart, the soul; it
knows.
A day, a different scene
will never change what is
true.
Time has never been fully understood.
The songs still play to match
the storyline, to see how it
goes.
The endings it seems, all leave the future wide open for beautiful

The unused DNA should be looked at as inactive DNA and only inactive on this planet.

For example:
When you are in an astral state, the astral portion of your DNA is considered active and the 3D physical body part of the DNA is inactive because you are using your astral body and are 'alive/aware' in that world, you see?

Because you are multidimensional you carry all the worlds in your current DNA all the time and also in all the worlds.

Want to look at what part disease plays, and like when I said O can't stretch time past astral...L.

I know that O is still impotent. Before he married he said repeatedly that he would only have sex to have kids. No kids, and in the emails about his divorce he said one of the reasons for it was because he 'was unable to give her the romance she wanted.'

So a disabled root chakra? But how many others aren't functioning or aren't function properly?

I know his thoughts a bizarre (see above paragraph as an example), so his crown chakra is not right....

I'm pretty sure his emotional body is spiritually diseased, he is lazy, doesn't like to be bothered, angry/depressed, abusive. But that means he has an emotional body.

He has all the dimensional bodies like everyone else, so why can't he get out of astral? Hmmmm....ok, all the dimensional bodies' DNA has a measure of time associated or integrated in it.

Give me a minute...

Anonymous said...

He has all the chakras, but none are open enough or strong enough. That he is lazy and unambitious here is where I keep returning in my thoughts (I feel it's a clue)...he just isn't 'chakra strong' and that is the only reason he can't move beyond astral.

So DNA flows through the chakra system to all dimensional bodies but filters out time depending on the chakras health. So, his DNA is held back because of his weak chakras. Somehow.

A time question: does he love to see blood and pain because he has a weak chakra system or did his love for blood and pain cause his weak system?

Can't tell if I'm done thinking here or not!

Anonymous said...

I'm ok, but enough about me, how are you? A busy summer? Kids good?

Anonymous said...

Well, one thing I've learnt is that whenever I have to do something new, or somewhat nerve wracking, I always ask myself "what's the worst that can happen?"
Usually sudden death, homicide and such are not part of the equation so you know, I don't go into a deep analysis on that, but asking what is the worst that can happen just immediately dispells crazy fears we carry from days long gone by.
At least for me they do so I always share that question cause the world makes us all a bit crazy sometimes I think.
Summer has been good, kids are doing what they do best -- gone, outside somewhere, screaming, yelling and irritating people and society in general. haha
Yeah, that song, a bit seductive but I can dig it.
And you? How has your summer been going? Staying out of trouble?

THE EVE OF CREATION

One day in the Garden of Eden, Eve calls out to God, "Lord, I have a problem!"
"What's the problem, Eve?" God asks her.
"Lord," she says, "I know you've created me and have provided this beautiful garden and all of these wonderful animals, and that hilarious comedy snake, but I'm just not happy."
"Why is that, Eve?" came the reply from above.
"Lord, I am lonely. And I'm sick to death of apples," she says.
"Well, Eve, in that case, I have a solution. I shall create a man for you," the good Lord tells her.
"What's a 'man', Lord?" she inquires.
"This man will be a flawed creature, with aggressivetendencies, an enormous ego and an inability to empathize or listen to you properly. All in all, he'll give you a hard time. But, he'll be bigger and faster and more muscular than you. He'll be really good at fighting and kicking a ball about and hunting fleet-footed ruminants, and not altogether bad in the sack."
"Sounds great," says Eve, with an ironically raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, well. He's better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick. But, you can have him on one condition."
"What's that, Lord?" she asks.
"You'll have to let him believe that I made him first."

And that's how it all went down.

And yes, I did forget something. How did you know?

Your DNA transposes itself into the black shadow energy pattern in most worlds after you die. And when you see someone's black shadow form you can read their history, or see their history (once you understand how to do that) just by staring at them.

I liken it to wearing a uniform. If the 'uniform' or shadow is that of a dr or nurse, for example you know they are healers. If the uniform/shadow is say, military, then you can know the branch of service, rank, wars they fought in, awards that were gained, the country they served, and so much more just in a look if you know what you are looking at. Usually the longer you stare at the shadow people the more info you see.

And you also know from Ari that every black shadow also has a image they use whenever they want, switching between the two at will.

Tho Tal's hair is curly, Ari's is straight like mine, but still white blond, or at least it was the last time I saw him in his death robe. It's been some years since I last saw him like that.

And I had to Lol real bad knowing nothing could make up for your losing Audrey. I was told there were as many as 10 people there at times.

He also told me (yet again) that the stories I shared with you over the past months are just a taste of the rest of the book and am being asked to give you my permission to have you market it for me :) true or not, you can take it and run with it anytime you want. But you always knew that. And after a break of some months now, I am looking forward to some forward movement somewhere, hopefully soon. Good Morning Sleepy Heads!

Have you signed up for The Earth-Keeper news letter yet. If not do so. The one I was sent this a.m. Features John Van Auken and you can watch it here (Ari and Armand want you to watch it):

http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=BPspuZKQ638

At the start of the video Tyberonn introduces Van Auken as the apostle John, so I asked Ari why. He said that this is another case of a human looking outside of himself for answers, instead of within. Tyberonn is, same as Yogi, John the apostle, Tyberonn and Yogi are strong counter parts. Notice how the two look so much alike.

I asked what Tyberonn is looking at to make him believe Van Auken is John and thought "the life intent/mission is the same as the apostle" It is the energy strength (of mission) of John the apostle and Van Auken that Tyberonn is noticing to link the two....

Yogi and Tyberonn are from the same tree branch but Yogi, Tyberonn and Van Auken are all Armand characters, but different branches.

I haven't watched all of the video yet, so I might have more to say later :)

I have been reminded three times so far to include part three of my dream from fb.

This one had to do with my mother. When my father passed they had a dog and in my dream I was told that dog died some time ago and she got a new one. I was mad because no one told me about this new dog and she already had it for some time. I was even told the dogs name and while I don't remember the name it triggered my anger about not being told of the dog. I didn't like the name.

I think my mother had or is having a major life change of some kind. With the old one dying and a new one that I don't like. I also take this to be in both her life right now and in her future life. L.

Joanne first heard her voices on her way to church, school always started with a small mass. She was walking in a cold fall morning when the church bell started ringing. Before she could pick up her pace she heard a chipper "Hurry up! Your late for church!" It seemed to originate from outside her mind, yet she could tell it had no physical owner. She stumbled, then ran in small fear, turning in a circle to watch behind her for her ghost.

Parts of Cleopatra's birth chart were known before her birth. That she was spiritually talented was always known to Egypt. It was custom to not put children in public positions before they matured, no matter how talented. They were still children, and no matter how mature the child seemed, they were still outside the age of reason. Very wise.

The birth of The Prince and Princess Mor was foretold by Merlin who was always a welcome guest at Arthur's dinner table. Arthur announced to his table that he and his Queen were expecting their first child. When Arthur kissed Guinevere's hand after his announcement, Merlin laughed and said "Kiss her other hand since there will be two." Her told her then that she would need twice the patience because of Mordred, you see.

Magdala was like me and Joanne, she spiritual connection was a shocking surprise. The knowledge was completely withheld from Gloria, tho she did hear them.

I don't remember how Magdala learned yet, but her life was predicted with the three wise men searching for a baby girl. Helen's childhood (spiritually) was a lot like Cleopatra's. That their mothers were gone in those three lifetimes played a big role in the fact that all three lives were of wealth. Magdala's aunt and uncle were wealthy but lived modestly, and after they died they left all three siblings well off.

I can't tell you when I first knew I was hearing voices. I suspected once or twice when they surprised me with their thoughts. And now that I know what they sound like, I'm constantly remembering earlier times in my life that I should have known someone else was with me in my mind. They didn't officially introduce themselves until were moved to The Corners, 15 yrs ago.

It's called imagination. You have used it and allowed yourself to believe it is truth. Wrong. It's called your imagination. Schizophrenics hear voices in their head, the rest of us have an imagination.

The predictions of The Christ were predictions of both John and Magdala, some of the predictions were of him and the other half were of her.

When Merlin predicted Joanne's life he did so as he was trying to comfort Morgan while they were exiled in England. Like the old saying goes, "if you have to hear bad news, hear it from a friend." Tho much of Joanne's life was with held from Uther...

While Joanne sat in church that morning, she wondered at what happened. When she thought she heard a ghost she was told no. So she must have heard an angel. Again no, next she thought...a saint? Her voice agreed to this with the understanding that a saint was a person who lived an earthly life, then died.

This is a good time to add that our Bell was my St Catherine voice.

The story of Joanne speaking in court (or something like this, I can't remember the story) before she left her father's house, was her breaking off an arranged marriage. In those days you generally didn't marry if you knew you couldn't have children, and Joanne knew she couldn't. She was depressed and her voices encouraged her to console herself with her new future.

Joannes father was angry over her depression and told her not to let anyone know, she was still young and he was expecting that she was late to mature.

So she did nothing for a month, when she couldn't stand it any longer she went to visit the boys family and explained that her father didn't know. And as much as she would like to be a member of their family, she was barren. When they expressed their sympathy and concern, Joanne assured them that she felt God had plans for her, that her life was to take a different path.

It was agreed the marriage shouldn't take place and when her father found out he hit her. She left a week later, getting up on morning and walking away after she finished her chores.

Anonymous said...

She walked until she reached her aunt and uncles farm. It took most of the rest of that day. She was going to sleep in their barn and leave in the morning, but they saw her. So she told them what happened.

The stories of Joanne having a sister are wrong. She had two brothers. Joanne's mother and Dextard's wife were sisters or close cousins, and it's their daughter that is now confused as Joanne's sister. Caroline is Morgans younger sister, also Helen's and Gloria's, Joanne's closest cousin, and Twains brother who died in the steam explosion. Joanne's cousin was expecting the garnet dress and a friend was delivering it to her when he was robbed and it was stolen.

I'm going to go to sleep now, I finish this up soon. I need the name of the town she and Dextard traveled too, you know I can't remember it right now, funny!

Just wanted to add, that my family and Joanne's family are the same, with the parents reversed. Joanne's older brother is missing too...he died young then too, I think. Don't know how yet. Good night.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, it's Durand Laxart, not Dextard :) as you very well know by now names are the first things I forget, and pretty much the last thing I remember, if I ever remember them at all.

Joanne told Durand and her aunt of the fight between her and her father, and they both sympathized. She explained she wanted go to Vaucouleurs on his next trip to find a job as a governess, or a position close to this to ease the pain of not having her own. They were surprised but believed her when she lied of her age, and Durand agreed this might be the best for her.

Joanne's parents always knew where she was, but she never received direct communication from them. And when her father heard of her capture he and Durand never spoke again.

Political interest was high in Vaucouleurs when Joanne arrived. Durand was conducting his business when Joanne found Baudricourt. She followed her voices until she found him in his office writing his update to the king/court.

Anonymous said...

He acknowledged her presence without looking up, she stood patiently until she reminded him to include a state secret of some kind, in his notes. He looked up at her and froze.

He had her searched and wanted to know who she was, how she found him and what she wanted. She explained everything to him in 5 mins, he sat there saying nothing, and Joanne waited.

"He wants you to tell him what he is thinking." Catherine explained. So Joanne told him that the rain will be ending soon which was good because the repairs to his house can start again. The changes he was making should stop the flooding, but that shouldn't matter to her since, as Joanne agreed, it was not her business to know these things about him anyway. He dismissed everyone ordering them to find Durand.

Durand was popular and well liked for his "bullshit" stories. He took truth and boldly embellished it for a laugh and other reasons. When he was told he was to see Baudricourt he thought he was being arrested for one of his embellishments, so he denied everything they might have heard on the way to Baudricourt.

By the time he was presented to Baudricourt, he was scared. And when he found Joanne already there he became bold, saying whatever they thought, they were wrong. Joanne knew nothing and could never be in any kind of trouble.

Baudricourt let him continue to speak and was growing bored. When Durand said she is a good girl who always went to church, school, was kind and obedient, he asked,"Did you know she hears voices of the dead?" Stunned, Durand denied this was possible.

"She already proved it." And Durand stood there wondering what to say for Joanne's release. Baudricourt told Durand that Joanne sought him out and why. Durand was speechless and Baudricourt set another meeting with the two.

It was on the way back to their lodgings that Durand unloaded on Joanne, saying that if she is wrong he would take her back to her father so he could punish her again.

Anonymous said...

That Baudricourt froze when he saw Joanne was understandable. He and Bertrand joked days before about needing her help. Few believed the old stories thinking they were more fairy tale than prophesy.

He rushed a paige to Bertrand as soon as Joanne left, and in two days time, when Joanne and Durand were next received, Bertrand, de Metz and Baudricourt had already planned how to handle the help she offered.

Having already sent word to Charles and his court that Joanne revealed herself, the mood of her second meeting was both jovial and very serious. They informed everyone positioned with Charles that there was a good chance she would be credible, and it was finalized during the second meeting to send her to Charles.

Joanne wrote to her parents, Durand delivered the letter to her father himself, along with his stories of what happened. Her father read the letter then threw it in the fire, over time telling her mother bits and pieces, twisting it to suit his mood. Except through Pierre she never heard from them again.

Four days after arriving in Vaucouleurs, Joanne was leaving again. She changed her clothes, cut her hair and everyone was quietly reminded of Cleopatra and Egypt.

At the time of Cleopatra's massacre, France was again in great political turmoil. Germany, France and England always behaved as sisters who never like each other, and on occasion Spain too. Octavian believed he was losing France to Anthony, and his political war was continued through England this time.

Need to stop for now. It's beautiful here today, have a good day. L.

Should say: Germany, France and England always fought like sisters, on occasion Spain too.

It reads better that way. L.

I suppose my war with Octavian was the religious/spiritual theme, Ari's war was the political theme, and Armand's war....not sure, maybe a karmic theme.

When Joanne met Bertrand and de Metz, she was surprised. They were both warm and friendly, and so informal to her. She liked that they were father and son yet treated each other with mutual respect. Their family made a deep impression on Joanne.

Perceval de Cagny was Bertrand's other son. Joanne met him at Charles' court, he was working his way through the paige/squire/knight career path that de Metz also completed.

De Metz was in his early/mid twenties and married when Joanne met him, there was Banna and another daughter, then Perceval who was in his late teens, then more daughters. Nine kids total, and I'm told to say that this brother relationship was what I was picking up on when I was talking about Jules and Ritchie, feeling they were related.

The ride to Charles took two days and during that time Bertrand and de Metz were doing their best to find out more about Joanne, very covertly. It was Bertrand's job to do the background check on Joanne after he delivered her to Charles since she was from his district.

Bertrand had many friends and they had plenty of places to stay while they traveled. It was a fast and comfortable journey, and on his return journey he stayed with those same friends and questioned them on what Joanne said and did.

The need for power over another individual is one of the saddest human conditions I have ever witnessed, especially when that so called power is gained in a 10 to 1 scenerio.
These persons will pay in consequence completely unfamiliar to them.
They will know the true meaning of pain, not heartbreak, real pain brought down by the highest power of them all.
Real power comes from empowering others at every chance you get but with clear discernment of who deserves such empowerment.
People who gang bully do not fall into that circle - they are in a category all of their own.
They are the untouchables because they are not of the realm of real love which is the only place you can empower someone.
They are from the realm of real fear. Deep seeded fear because they know they are deceitful, ugly people who will eventually become known for things they least expect.
They will be found out and when they are, there is no redemption, no hope and no victory in anything they do. Dull, boring existence is the end result for them. Just when they think they have it all, they lose it all.
Watch and wait, this is the end result for those who make themselves feel good by attempting to destroy a pure heart. Personally, I've seen it happen many times before.
Only the pure of heart win in this world. This can't be taught by anyone, it is felt by experience and results.
Your current condition is the result of a lifetime of trying to steal personal power from others by trying to destoy them.
Think about it, in the end, you destroyed yourselves. Your target won, hands down.

Yeah, I grew up with Tal just outside of Bellingham, Washington and have corresponded with Tal since he fell from better things (note his slide in personal appearance to correspond with his enlightened view of life...). It has been sad to see the change and knowing that the seven children he is responsible for have a bitter shell of a person as a father. I also note that our former Troop 12 Scoutmaster (Warren Pugh) has followed a similar acrimonious path and shares many of the same views with Tal. When talking with his confused and angry kids about their father, it turns out that he was having an affair with a former love interest. So, I am not surprised to learn that Tal talks of dealing his demons with women - probably the same issue of fornication or adultery (just guessing here).
Jesus himself, while commenting on why the wicked Pharisees would not/could not recognize the greatest Being ever to walk the Earth for what he was, called them a "wicked and adulterous generation". As an Engineer, I have tried coax the reasons why out of scripture (with no apparent success) but this I do know - that sexual sin leads to people becoming like Tal and Warren Pugh - deniers of the truth. The same occurred with Oliver Cowdery, Harris and other early figures who apostatized from the truth. All that can be done is to love them.

Whoever runs this blog should at least have the decency to demand that anonymous bloggers not use it as a forum for baseless and damaging personal insinuations and accusations, which, if they do not constitute bearing false witness against their neighbours, appear at least to be in the same category.

For the record, I left the Mormon church because, to my great sorrow, I discovered that its founder did not tell the truth about his experiences, and therefore, that the church he founded is not, and cannot be, what it claims to be.

There is no need (though I know how tempting it is to do so when we are still absolutely convinced we are right) to posit some other weird "cause" for people leaving, like a desire to commit adultery, take drugs, murder, rob, or what have you, any more than to do so for people who discover that the Moonies or the J Dubs aren't what they claim to be.

The Eric I once knew and admired so much would never have stooped so low as to try to tear people down publicly through anonymous innuendo. I find your comments incredibly disappointing.

You will always only have dull men with no imagination, shitty jobs who dream of being rock stars. Talent intriguing only to a drunk audience of 50 in a local scum bar. What to go!! All your little girls dreams have now come true.

FYI - Bachman is 45, has 8 kids and the closest he has come to the music industry is being a judge on Victoria's Got No Talent. Unless of course you include that little 'snippet' Ian Starglow which cost him any/all self respecting 'friends' he may have had but threw him into a 'friend zone' of whacked out 'girly girls' all in thier 30's. hahaha

Psalm 23
King James Version (KJV)

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

So,

When Joanne, de Metz and Bertrand arrived to see the king, she was first shown her quarters to rest and change. During her first meeting with Bertrand she explained her family circumstances and he gave her a small purse to help get her ready for the trip. She had a new dress she couldn't wait to wear and she was to meet the King and his family just before dinner that evening.

Everyone was happily expecting his new guest and many more were there that night than was normal. She was sharing a room with two others and when three arrived the hallway echoed the excitement.

As they walked closer to the room, it was suddenly quieted. "Good!" She thought, "They believe this dinner is important too." And when she stepped into the room no one moved forward to greet her. She sighed and thought, "Again?!?" And her voices explained someone wanted to get her attention by playing a trick on her.

Saving this paragraph for later: After two lifetimes of happy marriages the last thing la Hire wanted or expected to see was a past wife who was still able to reason with him.

Anonymous said...

Joanne had already met de Cagny, he and a friend were waiting patiently along the road at the last town before their arrival. Again Joanne felt small pain and regret as the father and two brothers greeted each other.

De Cagny told us there was a busy full house because of Joanne, and Bertrand smiled at her and said "They are looking forward to meeting you." And they were! When we arrived everyone was busy outside for every reason just to see Joanne. It was her first taste of celebrity and she was calm.

After two lifetimes of happy marriages the last thing la Hire wanted or expected to see was a past wife who was still able to reason with him. Joanne noticed him right away and when her voices told her to look for Charles, they also told her to start with la Hire and really look at him. As she did this la Hire showed the rare good grace to look away. "He's trying to place you too." They said.

Anonymous said...

I mean: As she did this la Hire showed the rare good grace to briefly look away.

La Hire wasn't the sort of man to hide his eyes from anyone, he was always very direct with his look and his words and never rude until he was angry. And when that happened he was unstoppable. I think that's a clue for his name.

Anonymous said...

That night at dinner a young priest ask her her hardest question, "What will you do if the King and the Church decide not to use you?" And until the question, Joanne had no real concern of not being of use, or even of her future. She realized for the first time that if she was of no service, she would also have nowhere to live and have no future after a public disgrace.

She stayed 2-3 months with the King's family. She was questioned, trained, and helped with chores when she was free. She also finished school.

Joanne was surprised by the caution surrounding her, the questions, the doubt, the investigation into her background. The history of Joanne's family and childhood friends were the result of Bertrand's investigation and it embarrassed and scared her when he told in his report that her father didn't want her to return home if the Church did approve of her.

Cauchon first learned of Joanne as soon as she arrived to the King. He wanted to be a part of her questioning but was turned down. So he forwarded a list of questions, again uninvited, for Joanne. Then made polite demands for transcripts of all her interviews, both political and religious.

Since his politics were always known he was never included and this was another reason for her capture/surrender. He insisted on a meeting.

Anonymous said...

It was Bertrand who supplied Joanne with Dancer and Warling, both were from his farm. He furnished as much as he could to the gov't, selling small amounts to the public. But it wasn't until some years after Joanne's death, closer to his own actually, that the farm then supplied the public too. I think he was about 74 when he passed and had been a widower for his last 8-10 years.

Some of Cauchon's questions were put to Joanne, and I'm told that if I come across them in the future I'll be able to point them out.

Mistake: her father didn't want her to return home if the Church DIDN'T approve of her.

Anonymous said...

As soon as Joanne turned 15 (a coincidence) her voices said it was time to leave for Orleans. We were packing up for the trip anyway, but it surprised Jean greatly when she told him they were to assemble that night.

He made mention of la Hire and Joanne said, "He will be leaving at 11 so have the men ready no later than 10. He will see us waiting for him."

He was running toward the barn skidding to a stop when he saw everyone mounted, even having his own horse ready for travel. His plan was to leave right away to avoid arrest and meet us at Orleans.

"Ready to leave?" She asked. "How did....yes! Let's go, have the men assemble under your banner." "My banner?" Joanne didn't know she needed one. Catherine said "Under your bed." She first saw it when it was lowered to her from her window.

Jean painted the cross from a her doodle and discussion with Joanne soon after they met. It was the black cross outlined in silver or pewter color. There may have been four ribbons. Two were the same silver and two may have been lighter/white and embroidered in black wool smaller black crosses at the start and finish of each name. Maybe.

Also interesting to note, Joanne stopped on the way to Orleans to pick up her sword. which also had two of the same crosses inlaid on the hilt in onyx and silver.

In an early vision of Joanne she was telling la Hire to "Order your men to stop spitting on the road. I won't have the people thinking we come from anyone but God!" She had a problem too with their foul language and la Hire had a problem taking orders from a child.

Most of the army was assembled on an "as needed at this location" basis. We traveled as a group of about twenty, sometimes more, but the men were hired at each location. A call was usually put out if they were needed and men would enlist at those locations.

After some hours on the road with la Hire, Joanne told Jean it was time to stop. They were making the camp ready and watching the road when the King's guard thundered past them. She told la Hire not to leave her side. Without her protection the guard would find him and if he was in the King's custody, she would leave him there.

The next morning, she wrote a letter to Charles asking him to put off la Hires arrest until after he was crowned. He agreed.

I think I will stop for tonight.

When Cauchon was politely declined from Joanne's first interviews he tried a more direct approach. He wrote to her himself inviting her to meet with him. Jean handled all of her correspondence, found the letter and replied on her behalf. There would be no time to meet.

His second letter to Joanne was left unopened, she was on her way to Orleans, and when it caught up with her Orleans was already a success. Cauchon knew his helpful offers would never be accepted now.

Cauchon had a reputation for strict no nonsense behavior. When there was something he wanted or was interested in, his persistence quickly became obnoxious never caring to know there was a difference. So he did what he could to stay in touch with her priests. They answered his letters but offered him no information since they followed other Church leaders.

It was his plan to try to take Joanne by summoning her to work with him saying that they, together, would work out a peaceful solution that the cities would follow. At least this is what his first letter said.

Joanne was upset because they arrived at Orleans in the wrong position, her voices wanted the city to see them all assembled and out in the open, not under cover like the commanders thought best.

Everyone who lived in Orleans was afraid, la Hire (means unstoppable rage/rampage) returned for revenge as he promised he would, bringing with him his equally angry friends and a scary, but very sweet young lady.

La Hire's name, Etienne de Vignolles, was, as you know, a title but for years he was only a figure head or puppet at Orleans. I don't know if he was voted out of office or was pushed out, but he lost his authority about a year before he left the city. He went to the King to take Orleans back by force.

He damaged Orleans somehow before he left and His supporters in the city gave him the nickname.

If Armand ever tells you to stop doing something it's in your best interest to stop. So where was I....

Joanne's voices said that the town's fear of her foresight, and of la Hire's return might be enough to avoid war, we were not to hide. We met with the city leaders. We walked in the front door and spoke for two hours, and we left not knowing what they would decide to do.

It's a very funny thing when you tell a person what they are thinking, or give them advice on troubles no one else knows about, they will tend to believe you when you tell them who will and who will not survive a battle.

We waited a couple of days, and were notified they were packed up and ready to leave.

I asked Ari once if Jean was ever afraid to die in battle. He said, "No the safest place on the battlefield was always beside you."

Jean, de Cagney and some others were part of Joanne's security guard. They were always everywhere Joanne was, and depending on the event and the crowds, their numbers fluctuated. They did not fight directly in battles, but none of us were strangers to them.

As for De Metz and Bertrand, while they were heavily involved in planning travel, battles, or anything involved in strategy, they didn't attend any of those things.

And while la Hire traveled with Joanne to battles he kept a distance from her.

That Joanne left her armor in the abbey of St. Denis is a deliberate lie. Many questions were asked about her belongings after her disappearance and to protect Joanne's reputation and the Pendragon crypt much was said.

Joanne told Jean how to find the crypt at the University and a small bottom section of wall was removed. There is a two foot space then another wall. Its older than the one everyone sees and has a door that is locked. The Templers built the second wall to cover the crypt. They followed Morgan's direction.

She was hiding in the crypt when the Templers came in to pay their final respects, the original door was bolted shut and she died as the work for the new wall almost complete. She needed to know they were following her words before she died.

There were only three who worked on the wall, no one else seemed to be aware, family never visited it and since the building had a new purpose no one else would be placed there. Shutting the crypt was no big deal, and concealing it was seen as only a little odd.

Arthur's table is there. It is a pedestal design that seated twelve comfortably and is cut from a solid marble piece. That it is in the crypt should be seen a miracle, it was way too heavy and way too big for the door.

Arthur bought the marble and had a stone master sculpt it for him when his father died and he received his inheritance. He did this as a tribute to his father and both of their careers, both working toward a common goal. The complete story is in the crypt and I think Arthur's father was again Pompey, the two seem so very close.

Anonymous said...

I think the table being in the crypt was common knowledge in that day. It's idea wasn't romanticized until after Arthur's death and many were facing some gov't disillusionment in a "the grass is no greener over here!" kind of way. It was never ask about because it was considered as personal and private property that the family didn't donate.

When Jean, de Cagney and maybe one or two others left the items in the wall they spoke to Cauchon on their way out. Their plan was to just walk in, head to the basement, take apart the wall, store the stuff, put the wall back and then just walk out like they belonged there.

They were on their way out when they passed him. He was ordering them to take care of something mistaking them for workers. They knew it was him by the way he was dressed.

Jean asked the priests early on about Cauchon because of his persistent and overly assertive letters. We knew he was crazy but didn't think him a killer.

About a month or two after Joanne went missing Cauchon wrote to Jean/King expressing his concern/condolences. He promised to forward any information he might hear on her whereabouts to them as he prayed for her safety.

He was believed. Psychopath can be very believable even when you know something is wrong with them.

Just beyond the Pendragon crypt is John's family crypt. You can reach it by digging thru on the of Pendragon walls. It is just a three or four foot high crawl space and it mostly holds the bodies of nine people. There are writings to describe the life and names of the people, but no objects of interest.

As long as there's hope....

When Dancer reared at the woman crying in the street Joanne's wound reopened. It was only two days since the arrow hit her and having Joanne riding Dancer was the quickest way to stop the rumors of her death.

In an unguarded moment in the battle a young man ran over to Joanne and told her someone had taken Pierre hostage and he was being held in the city. So she ran up the ladder to find him and there was no one to see her until she was about 4 rungs from the top.

La Hire's battle was beginning 100 yards or so away and with most everyone's attention put there, she ran. She didn't know she was hit. She saw blood and arrow, was shocked by it and just as the pain began, she fainted and fell backwards.

Jean saw her when she first started to climb, only able to reach her as she landed. Right away Joanne was dragged to safety which was good because suddenly there were more arrows.

La Hire was notified right away that Joanne was hit, even breaking away from his battle to see for himself. She was still and quiet for an hour and then she was moving and feeling very guilty. After she came too, Pierre was found, and was found where he was told to stay before the fight.

La Hire was loosing men quickly. The English and their supporters were cheered by Joanne's arrow and when la Hire left the battle to see Joanne the French were thinking the worst.

Anonymous said...

The first thing she heard from her voices was to get up and move. It was better for her to keep moving over the next week. That Joanne was left by herself after she woke was true. Jean was angry and stayed away from her, plus the days fighting continued. When she felt she could, she rejoined him so everyone would know all was well.

That evening the man who told Joanne about Pierre was found and threatened with death. Instead, Joanne told him to leave, and la Hire, Joanne and Jean all fought with la Hire and Jean almost coming to blows.

The next day the battle was ended but not easily. Others were wrapping up the details and Joanne needed to show she was fine. So they left that afternoon.

Ari wants me to mention to Ritchie that it's Shark Week all next week at The Corners. I wonder what he has planned for us!

Part of the reason Joanne was encouraged to move after taking the arrow was the landing from her fall. When she was dragged out of arrow range, Jean found she wasn't breathing. He started slapping her and yelling trying to revive her to take a breath. Once she was breathing and trying to talk, he pulled the arrow. It was all so very quick.

She was wrapped in hot towels whenever she could stop to help her aches. Most were amazed at her progress and it added to her divine reputation, while working against her after her kidnapping.

She woke terrified on night when the biter grabbed her foot as she slept and was cutting between each of her toes. After she was pushed from the window Cauchon wanted a study done of her pain tolerance.

So when Joanne's wound reopened, she didn't notice until after the baby and mother were reunited. After the baptism while everyone was still in the woman's sick room la Hire was amazed.

She was sore and said so, it was her plan to ask for some hot towels. When Dancer reared Joanne and the woman took off toward her home, la Hire remarked that she was going to feel that later. Jean laughed it off saying, "Maybe not. It looks like Spirit is moving her again." La Hire replied, "Something's moving her, let's just hope this one's friendly."

This became a new joke for the three. During their fight a night or two before la Hire demanded to know why she would stupidly climb a ladder alone like that. Having no answer for being reckless she yelled back, "Because Spirit moved me!"

So when Joanne complained that her shoulder and back were aching again la Hire pushed two fingers hard on bloody jersey and said "What about that does that hurt too."

Joanne yelped and stepped backward putting both hands over her pain. The woman who once begged for help now put both arms around Joanne coming between the two.

A quick fix: During their fight a night or two before, la Hire demanded to know why she would stupidly climb a ladder alone like that. Having no answer for being reckless she yelled back, "Because Spirit moved me, and I don't argue with God!"

Anonymous said...

"Don't you hurt this young lady!" She said.

"Yeah! I thought you weren't supposed to touch me." Joanne added with pain.

La Hire straightened to his full height and said, "Madame! That is no young lady!" He pointed at Joanne and said, "That is a Changeling!"

Incensed, Joanne warned, "Keep talking like that la Hire and you'll have us both burned!" as everyone was shooed from the room.

Anonymous said...

Another Fix: "Keep talking like that la Hire and they'll burn us both!"

Another Fix: la Hire pushed two fingers hard on her bloody jersey and said "What about that? Does that hurt too?"

When La Hire replied, "Something's moving her, let's just hope this one's friendly." He was referring to the argument the three had.

Other commanders were there and just watched when it became a three way dispute. Jean and la Hire ganged up against Joanne, Joanne and Jean ganged up against la Hire, and both Joanne and la Hire told Jean more than once to shut up causing Jean to invite la Hire to make him.

(Right now I'm not sure what was said during the fight but I do know that Joanne hurt la Hire with an honest remark, whatever it was that she said he never forgot. I'm told the details of it will come later and I'm not sure why it's being held back.)

Another fix: The woman who once begged for help now put both arms around Joanne stepping between the two.

Planning what's left to do, I think things went like this:
Orleans
Battle and Joanne's arrow
Battle and the prostitutes leaving
Kings coronation
Jean's marriage proposal
Last Battle
La Hire's good bye to Joanne
Returning Joanne's items
Joanne's surrender
Joanne's trial

And before you say anything, no I don't remember the names or the locations of any of the three battles, and I don't really expect to without reading my books, which I won't do. At least not yet. I've used my books just to check my spelling on some of the other names.

So I've covered a lot of her story with still some more to do.

In between the three battles there were a lot of talks taking place in 6 cities that didn't need or want a fight. Joanne didn't play a role in those talks, since both parties were willing to deal with each other directly.

I think I'm about done for tonight. Hopefully I have more for you tomorrow. Love you.

The last battle for Joanne was the one Bob was a part of. Just started looking at it so I don't have much...

No matter what history says, battles were not the norm during this time, and they were seen by the public as police actions even tho history has it written as battles, because of the violence it degraded into. Or maybe they are the same thing after all, but you see where I am going here.

Tho the 100 years war did start out as an actual war, by Joanne's time the battles were fought mostly over govt corruption, most thought the English were gaining politically because they were corrupt.

Usually what happened, the police action was manipulated into a political takeover and people of those places would protest their disadvantage sometimes falling into riots, looting, and it's pretty much what you can find happening today.

The politics of Paris favored the English and there were protests, demonstrations, arrests, but not battles. There was no reason for anyone to fear being there and since Joanne had publicly announced her retirement she had no reason to fear being there, she still had her guard with her and it wasn't publically announced she would be there. The talks were mostly Jean's work, not really Joannes.

Besides dropping her stuff off at the University, she and Jean were there to talk to some leaders, and I get the feeling that tho he didn't know it at the time, Cauchon realized we were at the University. I never told him why, of course, and he believed Joanne when she said she "wouldn't be here right now if it had worked." meaning in his custody. And because he had her and appeared to be getting away with it he believed her.

I think this is all I have time for until this evening at the earliest. Have a good day today. L.

Because Jean and others were royalty, they were released two weeks after Joanne's capture. As a political prisoner and a commoner there was no obligation to release her. If Joanne were "of Arc" at the time of her capture, someone could have been forced to turn her over or suffer some ill fate themselves. Legally, I mean.

Someone saw Jean at the University and asked Cauchon why he was there. Before Jean left the grounds Cauchon was having him followed believing Joanne would turn up.

After Jean's release, he and Cauchon met openly and both pretended they never met before. Cauchon was fishing for what Jean knew about Joanne's location, told him lies to mislead their search and promised him he would let him know right away if he heard anything that might help them. Later Jean, de Cagny and others remarked at Cauchon's demanding attitude and thought he might know more than he was saying, but never believed he knew much more than a perhaps a clue.

Cauchon was just one of the people met with in his search for Joanne, so it was never recorded outside of his private papers. Never made history.

Anonymous said...

Cauchon was just one of the people JEAN met with in his search...

La Hire, Jean, Joanne and others did discuss reincarnation and all believed in it. The "of Arc" is a feel good symbolic clue to me from Jean. That no one can legally confine her.

I find it odd that in this life Cauchon, the biter and others all hated me first. It's as if they remembered me before I could remember them.

Because of ios8 was installed last night, my computer is locking up and I've lost alot of work. So I think I'm going to quit for the night. Night. L.

The "I don't know A from B" and other lies like Joannes ashes came from Cauchon's private papers after his sudden death. He was trying to make it seem that he'd didn't have Joanne, just someone who thought she was Joanne, in case he was caught. It was common knowledge that Joanne had a Church education and knew her ABCs, and the ashes in the river was him redirecting the crime scene. Rouen as the crime scene was never believed.

Could it be that Jean learning of these lies and the lies Cauchon told him to his face is part of Tal's trouble with the Mormon Church today? I do know that Jean had some words to say to Martha about letting a girl be raped, tortured, and begging for life at her interview. When she left her husband she still had time to contact Jean to find Joanne alive. Funny she used her tears for Jean, but not Joanne.

I think our next life will be fun, like the Hatfields and McCoys kind of fun, without guns. We'll both be European, but different countries and meet thru my brother, that will be Tim (he was C's brother). I think I'm English tho my name is McCoy, and you're Scottish....And everyone will know to look for us. But I don't know what we will be up to in that lifetime. I get the feeling we will be more famous for our past and tho we'll do stuff in that life, it won't be as earth shattering. It will be a nice relaxing life for us, and it will be your work, or your turn to be the center of attention. We will have a family, one that is happy and survives and leaves a strong legacy, a gift to us from them.

Tim will marry Martha, even after I tell him it will be a lot of work :) they will have the daughters she always wanted in this life and one will be Cauchon. So she will finally use her double standard on him. She is a good mother and he will conform, but only in front of her, Tim will see the complete picture and be frustrated by it. Their two girls won't like each other, and Martha will feel it's stress. Lucky for us they will live a distance away and we'll only see them at family reunions.

Chris will be your younger sister and parts of her MOS life will play out for her because D will be your father and high up in Scottish govt. Armand will be my dad, but not sure who the mothers will be. I wonder why.

As far as the world goes, the population doesn't seem to be as crowded as it is now. I feel breathing room there. I've always believed that if people knew who they were giving birth to, they would never have kids :) maybe they will finally agree. There will be hot spots of trouble then too, but violence also goes way down with the population numbers. Violence still happens, but rare. This could be because money is different, mostly not used. So finding Joanne, decreasing the population and changing the function of money play big roles in soothing violence.

Because the population has lowered, people will use their time wisely here. There will be those who still want to do nothing but lay around all day, they will need the time to heal or calm themselves, but most of getting high and doing nothing will be over by then. Finding purpose will be encouraged.

Anonymous said...

Govt and its rules will change, at least where we are. Rules governing money (retirements, investments, taxes) won't be needed as money changes. It will be simplified.

There doesn't seem to be a belief in big govt anymore. Maybe they finally learned that nothing fat or obese is healthy. People will have responsible (health/nursing home) care and food, but housing is still a sign of wealth.

Anonymous said...

People will still be motivated by comfort, like houses, transportation and travel and have no problem working to get those things. Cutting work hours allows for free time that so many need today. And it opens up a lot of art. Parents also have more time to notice what their children are up to, and are more involved.

Craftsmen like Faberge (a big favorite of mine) return to find new creative interests. Plays, concerts, movies and writing all improve because of more free time.

It's not utopia, there is still family trouble, countries who don't get along, but the atrocities aren't as atrocious as today.

Still not getting much on our mothers, I do know they are both alive, and both sets of parents live into old age and love their grandkids. Ari says mothers are a surprise for later. I just no there are no troubles for either of us with our mothers. Our dads are choosing wiser, or maybe just getting luckier....

Just forgot what I wanted to say next...should stop now anyway. Good morning and L.
